"Brinda, beta, have you packed everything you'll need for the hospital?"  Her mother-in-law asked, her voice laced with gentle concern.

Tomorrow was Brinda's due date, and the air crackled with anticipation.  They were making sure nothing was forgotten – the comfortable clothes toiletries, and most importantly, the small, hand-knitted blanket Brinda had lovingly prepared for her baby.
